The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. We host large, fast paced and fun events, predominantly in London, built around leading individuals from the sports and entertainment world to raise essential funds and awareness.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Events Manager, with a proven track record of delivering high end fundraising events, to join this fast paced but small events team. Working alongside the Senior Events Manager, you will help deliver the fundraising events strategy and raise awareness of our charitable giving through showcase events.  You need to have experience with high net worth supporters, committees and key stakeholders, be an enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational skills, and want to achieve lasting change in children’s lives.

To be considered you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Three years proven experience of planning and delivering multiple high-end events within a charity environment, preferably in the London area.
  • Experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience of managing budgets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel
  • Experience with SAP Business One and InDesign preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

As the Event Manager you would be responsible for:

  • Working closely with key stakeholders, senior management and committees to deliver the planned fundraising events
  • Delivering the events portfolio, including overseeing the event planning and execution, sales and marketing plans and post-event follow up and analysis
  • Event budget management including order processing, customer invoicing, supplier invoicing and credit control, manage the event return
  • Supplier management including venues, production companies, agents, catering and other key event suppliers
  • Managing post contract sponsor liaison, speaker and beneficiary liaison including briefings and travel requirements
  • Working closely with the Marketing Communications team to produce the event collateral. Ensuring proofing and print deadlines are maintained and met
  • Suggest, promote and develop new events concepts into the events programme, including new formats, speakers, venues and fundraising methodologies
  • Work closely with the rest of the executive team and with key stakeholders on the development and planning of fundraising events.
