Job Details

One of London's well known arts venues and visitor attractions in the heart of London seeks a Commercial Events Sales Executive to work with the Commercial Events team to proactively deal with the incoming enquiries, sell the site for corporate and private events, up sell secondary resources, including AV and catering, respond to venue hire, brand activation and commercial filming/photography enquiries received.



Main Responsibilities
  • To be proactive in building and stewarding relationships with clients and agencies in order to secure repeat bookings
  • To convert enquiries to confirmed business as well as proactively drive forward revenue and contribute to achieving the yearly sales target.
  • To manage the venue hire enquiries email inbox ensuring a same day response, including distributing email enquiries to other members of the team and organisation as appropriate.
  • To maintain a consistently high level of customer service throughout the sales process.
  • To ensure all enquiry details are recorded correctly on the database and rooms are correctly held where necessary.
  • To regularly follow up on all current enquiries to ensure the sales pipeline is up to date, quantified and managed.
  • To conduct knowledgeable and structured site visits of all spaces, to maintain and develop relationships with all clients.
  • To undertake account management for small and medium sized clients and to support the Commercial Events Sales Manager with account management for larger clients.
  • Liaise with the internal Diary Planning team to ensure venues are available for client use and can sit alongside other activity taking place across site.
  • Liaise with client to gather detailed information about their event, advise and up sell as appropriate, until event is confirmed.




The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in reactive venue sales, ideally within a unique or unusual venue, have experience of leading client site visits and have strong numerical skills and an understanding of working with budgets.
