Job Details

A leading professional body within the financial sector seeks a Conference Manager who is an experienced events organiser who can manage the varied conference and events programme from concept to completion and evaluation, and add real value to the commercial events.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Responsibility for the logistics of the commercial event programme from concept to delivery
  • Running Content Advisory Panels and steering committee's - producing the content for commercial conferences
  • Undertaking extensive desk-based research to assist the marketing of the programme
  • Managing and accountability for the full delegate booking process
  • Providing a high level of customer service to all attendees
  • Work with the wider marketing and communications team to promote each event, to produce onsite materials, ensure brand consistency and amplify the event across all channels
  • Manage the commercial events budget, to negotiate all contracts with suppliers, and to ensure income targets are met and expenditure closely monitored.
  • Support the Assistant Director with reports to update the Executive team and Board on the performance of the commercial event programme.




The successful candidate will have gained relevant experience as a Conference/Events Manager, excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to deal with people at senior level. You must be able to juggle multiple projects with excellent organisation, planning and communication skills.
