THE ROLE
Joining at a busy time, this permanent Event Coordinator role will see you working in a department of 7 events professionals where you'll be supporting the team on the planning & delivery of a range of B2B events including roadshows, training events, workshops, conferences and gala dinners.
You'll be the most junior member of the team and this is an event admin role that is mostly office based supporting the team but a role that also involves working on-site at events and on occasion organising your own very small events too.
This position will involve delegate registration & delegate communications, event administration, event logistics & research, maintaining registration website, assisting with event marketing material & event collateral, supplier liaison, admin support to the sponsorship & exhibition sales team, CRM management, on-site event delivery and occasional diary management for the Head of Events.
YOU
You'll be an enthusiastic and proactive events junior with a good understanding of B2B events and around one year of experience (or you'll have done a full placement year during your degree).
You'll already have some office-based experience supporting a team on B2B events including experience in delegate registration, creating and maintaining event websites (using Eventsforce and Salesforce ideally), the preparation of event marketing material & collation of event packs, basic event logistics, supplier sourcing, negotiation and liaison, event related research, on-site event delivery and general office administration and diary management support.
In addition you'll need to have strong IT skills and good basic knowledge of CRM databases, registration systems and marketing software.
From a personality and work ethic point of view you'll be a self-motivated, well-presented and customer service focused individual with a can-do attitude who is eager to learn and develop your skills further in the B2B conference & events sector.
Good communication skills, excellent telephone manner and superb attention to detail are essential as is the willingness to travel within the UK to be on-site at events.
If you're passionate about events and have a good understanding of B2B events with some event office admin as well as on-site experience and you are actively looking for a permanent job with a highly regarded organisation then this could be a brilliant position to secure!
