Temporary Contract (now to end June) - Events Assistant - Prestigious Membership Body
Leading professional body, within the medical sector, with a focus on women's health - their mission to improve women's health through the provision, advancement and dissemination of the highest quality education, standards and research information within their specialist sector. A key part of their work is their varied programme of events, which includes a large international annual Congress, educational events and a varied member programme.
Reporting into the Event Manager, this is a full and busy role, supporting the events team in planning and delivering their programme of events including training events, education courses, exhibitions and social events, etc. You will act as first point of contact - face to face, email and telephone - for delegate, speaker, supplier, sponsor and exhibitor enquiries. You'll support the creation of event print materials and onsite management documents as well as researching and sourcing promotional items for events and managing their shipment to where needed. You'll be responsible for writing and updating website content relating to events and support all venue, attendee and supplier communications. The role needs an efficient, well-organised team player with excellent admin skills.
You'll be reliable, flexible and self-motivated with a desire to learn and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks as part of a small, busy team.
Specifically, we're looking for someone with:
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of working with websites and social media management
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Desire to learn and willingness to be flexible towards taking on varying tasks
- Friendly, collaborative approach
