This fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of SPEX working for a dynamic fast paced event organiser based between the UK and Europe, to work across an exciting portfolio of three events within the tech sector. Your role will be to drive renewed and refreshed sales strategy for exhibition and sponsor growth including leading the team and designing and implementing the strategy from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities
  • Design the sponsorship and exhibition sales strategy with pricing policy that will deliver agreed revenue goals, supporting the profitability of each product and the overall company against understood costs
  • Present the full strategy with resource expectation, risk assessment, delivery tollgates for Executive Leadership Agreement
  • Implement new strategies including leading the change management in processes, reporting, staffing and resource management.
  • Manage and deliver clear reports to the company and Executive leadership that will illustrate trends, expectations with solid and reliable forecasting against all sales targets
  • Lead the team by example to execute the exhibition sales and rebooking strategy and working inline will all departments to insure the profitability of products and the overall organisation
  • Whilst focusing on target achieving revenue and profit of the company. Build clear plans for over achievement against target including business case plan and resource requirements
  • Set stretched sales targets with the VP of Sales & Managing Director and continually manage your sales team to maximise revenues
  • Implement the rebooking strategy including a process that commences prior to the previous event through to the construction and management of a hierarchal method of managing the renewal sales.
  • Set measurable onsite rebooking revenue goals & put in place KPIs for all staff chosen to execute the strategy
  • Training and developing the sales team to understand and implement this rebooking process and ensure it is consistently being carried out across all clients and events.
  • Work in partnership with other departments to manage the floorplan that will maximise sales, attendee experience and ROI from all relevant customer groups.
  • Work with Marketing to develop impactful sales collateral, materials and an event area to enable onsite sales
  • Improve year on year and event on event rebook performance
  • Build and work closely with international sales partners and colleagues to drive international sales
  • Constantly review team resources to ensure we have sufficient to deliver our growth objectives
  • Build strong, loyal customer relationships at a senior level, developing extensive knowledge of their businesses, their key processes and profit drivers and short/medium/long term objectives

    Experience required
  • Minimum 7 years of previous senior sales experience with a proven track record of leading international sales
