Business Director

A dynamic international conference and exhibition organiser seeks a Business Director to strategically drive planning and engagement within the clients customer community across certain special projects. This can range from supporting strategic planning across the portfolio of events through to project ownership, customer engagement, marketing support and delivery of a specific project that fall outside of the existing structure of the event business.



Key responsibilities

Project management:

• Take the lead on upcoming business projects, managing the programme including
  building and overseeing all relevant partnership
• Plan the project budget, responsibility for P&L where applicable
• Oversee the project team and ensure project delivery

Strategy Planning:

• Drive strategic planning and engagement within the customer community across their
  special projects
• Understand and explore new development areas across the business and industry
• Get involved in potential M&A exploration or business assessment of strategic growth of
  existing portfolios
• Contribute to business Strategy planning with market research and business analytics

Product management:

• Support the strategic build, product refinement and then customer engagement for core
  growth products such as the a Loyalty programme and the Start Up
  Programme

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within an international exhibition or conference organiser, with a min of 3 years in a senior role managing P&L. You will also need extensive experience in working with significant global multinational organisations including understanding their focus and ROI expectations from events. You will need experience in presenting both internally and externally to stakeholders or customers and be able to negotiate at all levels.



There will be international travel.
