Festival Operations Manager

A renowned festival and events organising company based in Kent, who run up to 10 festivals a year and a portfolio of smaller events in and around the UK seek an experienced Festival Operations Manager. In this role you will lead a small department focused on the strategic development of a range of innovative and interactive own-brand events and to oversee the creation, evolution, delivery and on-site management of brand themed events.

Responsibilities

* To introduce a number of entirely new events to the calendar, including family-oriented and music festival events, themed car and bike shows and mass participation cycling and running events;
* Full event delivery of the events
* Increasing entertainment value and gates brand events through cost effective entertainment activities;
* Ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety legislation;
* Budget management and analysis to measure ongoing ROI.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience of running complex outdoor events and festivals to strict budgets
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in relation to event management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
* Excellent presentation skills and attention to detail
* Experienced people manager and leader
* Energetic 'make-it-happen' character
