Job Details

A rare opportunity has arisen for a talented New Business Sales Manager to work across a portfolio of creative B2b exhibitions for a large international exhibition and event organiser based in London. Both b2b events are already on the path to significant growth, with the aim of leveraging their size and market domination in the UK to compete on the international event circuit.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales
  • Sell event space, sponsorship and add-ons to new prospects, existing and lapsed clients.
  • Maintain and grow strong sales pipelines via proactive, outgoing sales effort as well as excellent personal time and priority management.
  • Clearly project the unique USP's of these market-leading events and 'get close' to the multiple sectors within the industry, being comfortable with tailored and thought-through approach to each pitch to match the client's needs.
  • Work with the Event Director to identify, pursue and deliver new sector opportunities.
  • Arrange, plan and maximise return from external sales trips (UK and Europe) to include multiple face-to-face appointments, focusing approach on the earliest possible close date.
  • Assess ROI of competitive events and industry trade shows in the UK and Europe. Demonstrate ROI to the Event Director and outline a clear plan for time allocated, meetings arranged and new business acquisition potential.
  • Fully engage with and leverage the features of CRM Systems to maximise return and demonstrate effort and efficacy.
  • Manage incoming leads and sector-specific sales communications to improve acquisition and conversion of sales leads.
  • Manage the show floor plan and allocation of stand space in conjunction with the Operations Team to ensure these are up-to-date at all times.




The successful candidate will have a clear track record of delivering new business in the £10k-£60k per sale bracket and will excel on the phone, face-to-face and when attending competitive events. Previous experience in a senior event sales role is a requirement.

Creative, tenacious and focused, the right candidate will possess the ability to tailor their approach to each prospect and be confident to close the deal.

A hunger to reach and exceed sales targets with a positive, 'can do' approach.
