This large international conference company seeks an exceptional Head of Marketing to work within their managed events division to plan, manage and implement the marketing and communications strategy for their large scale managed events. You will be developing media relationships, assisting with PR activities and managing the online and print advertising campaigns whilst overseeing the delivery of marketing materials and updating and running the website and social media sites. The successful candidate will be confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels, and comfortable liaising with industry related associations, committees and professional organisations.

ROLE OBJECTIVES

  • Maximise delegate attendance at all high-profile international events that the division is
    appointed to organise
  • Develop original, innovative and exciting marketing plans, heavily based on new
    technology and digital marketing
  • Carry out successful and cost-effective marketing campaigns within budget
  • Understand, communicate and deliver the event brand to the desired target markets
  • Produce high quality, accurate, innovative and tailored marketing materials
  • Research, evaluate, negotiate and develop good relationships with all suppliers and
    media partners
  • Support the team and work to facilitate the growth, expansion and advancement of the business
  • Represent the company effectively and develop strong relationships with clients, both


new and existing





QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum four years' commercial experience working in a direct marketing role, preferably gained within a B2B conference Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Manager role on large scale events.
  • Marketing degree/CIM qualified
  • Budget management experience
  • Other languages an advantage
  • Available and willing to travel internationally as required: there are approximately 2-3 overseas trips per year, each lasting approximately 1 week
