The Role:
Their amazing Venue Sourcing Manager has seen her role expand over the past year - she now needs a brilliant Exec to work alongside her. Working at the heart of the Event Operations team, your role will include:
  • Support in the venue sourcing of 150+ venues per year in the US, Europe and Asia
  • Work closely with the HoEO and Venue Sourcing Manager to source, negotiate and contract appropriate venues in adherence to deadlines
  • Issuing the RFP to market using the Cvent Supplier Network
  • Reviewing and managing incoming proposals, and present venue options to Head of Event Operations and internal customers
  • Negotiating rates and terms and conditions with venue (delegate rates, F&B, room blocks, room hire etc..)
  • Reviewing contracts - and work with HoEO to acquire financial sign off from the CFO for each venue
  • Developing and growing relationships with key international hotel groups and independent venues across Europe, US and Asia
  • Excellent venue knowledge - maintaining up to date knowledge of key locations and venues by site visits


About you:
I'm looking for a grad (or equivalent) with 6months-1year venue find experience, looking to take their experience into a dynamic and sociable inhouse role. We are looking for a highly motivated, pro-active individual who is confident in negotiation and possesses excellent communication and time management skills. Ambitious, bright, proactive, loves being busy and would enjoy working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience of sourcing venues
  • Previous experience of using Cvent Supplier Network (ideal not essential)
  • Industry knowledge and experience
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, confident on the telephone or in face to face meetings
  • Be highly efficient and have an organised approach to your workload - demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure and deal with high work volumes
  • Team player
