Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Co-ordinator with this prestigious multi use venue in the heart of Central London.Working as part of a team of 3, you will work with external hire clients to co-ordinate their event requirements across a portfolio of various size function rooms as well as managing a portfolio of 20 events for internal clients which range from dinners, conferences, AGM's, lunches and social events. This is an exciting role within a recently refurbished venue in the heart of London.
Specific Tasks:
Reactive sales to potential hire clients
Conduct 'walk rounds' with clients and potential clients and consistently 'sell' the venue
Co-ordinating with the day to day events and administration
Manage the office efficiently when Events Sales Manager is absent
Maintain the MIA standard in Customer Care/Communication Skills and Image
Liaise with all key clients
Attend networking, MIA, Westminster Collections and other promotional events as may be necessary
Liaise with internal departments to ensure the smooth running of member and external hire events
Previous Experience:
Event Management experience in the meetings industry
Relevant Hospitality or Meeting Industry software proficiency
Computer Literate
Practical experience in Food and Beverage service and functions organisation
A strong team player with superior inter-personal skills
Highly customer focused
Good communication skills with an excellent eye for detail
Team player.
Desirable:
Recognised academic qualification in Hospitality and Catering (eg OND in Hotel and Catering operations/NVQ Level 3 (Hospitality Services)
