Fabulous opportunity for a bright, pro-active Event Junior looking for an excellent second events role working on varied events in the travel sector.

THE ORGANISATION
If you love the travel sector - and events - then this is the perfect role for you! This dynamic media company specialise in connecting travel journalists and influencers with PR Professionals travel industry. They do this via social media and digital channels, as well organising a number of events - including an annual Awards Event, Quarterly network events, annual drinks reception, and a highly successful annual exhibition-style event, where over 150 travel brands meet journalists in scheduled meetings - one of the travel PRs main annual events!

THE ROLE
The team are looking for a Junior Events Executive to join them - your role will be busy and varied across all these events and will include:
  • work with the Marketing Manager managing the awards entry and judging process
  • liaison with sponsors and exhibitors for the main exhibition-style event
  • ensure all sponsor activities and branded collateral is successful delivered
  • co-ordinate the meeting booking process at major annual event for exhibitors, sponsors and media
  • manage RSVPs and guestlists for all events, delegate liaison, badging requirements
  • communicating with venues, and general event logistics and co-ordination


You:
You'll have 1 year events experience under your belt already, and be looking for a great opportunity to really increase your events experience. You'll be a great multi-tasker, excellent organisating/co-ordination skills, top communication skills, a problem solver and forward thinker, flexible and always willing to 'roll up one's sleeves'. This is a busy role, in a growing media company - and will give you bags of great experience across a range of events … You need to have:
  • 1 year experience in events
  • Excellent IT skills - great co-ordination and communication skills with good attention to detail
  • Confident to deal with varied sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, judges and media at various levels of seniority - enjoy liaising with lots of different people
  • Bright and pro-active and enjoy having a busy and varied role


This is a GREAT opportunity to take forward your events career, and work in the exciting travel sector. The salary is £21k plus bonuses linked to the success of the major annual event (sold out last year) so OTE of £25k is realistic.
