Conference Producer (Entry level) - (media company)

The Company:
The company is an exciting and fast-paced media company, who publish news, analysis and coverage of key activity within the business/finance sector - as part of their offering they produce some the sector's most prestigious award ceremonies and well respected conference programme.

Role:
Their Events Director oversees the logistics, production and sales aspects of their events - her remit is to ensure the events are the best in the sector, with the best content and most engaging industry Speakers - and will therefore attract the best attendance and commercial return. She is looking to bring in a bright, ambitious Graduate to learn the production ropes with a view to growing to fully-fledged Producer - your first six months would see you learning the ropes - getting immersed in speaker acquisition, and working with the wider team and departments so you fully understand all aspects of the business - so you'll go on site to events, you'll sit with the marketing team, have some time with the sales team, the editorial team etc. You'll be trained up on all aspects of production, research, analysis, agenda setting, marketing plans etc… and will build your knowledge of their sector and relationships within it. Under the guidance of the Director you'll then start producing your own events as you grow in knowledge and experience….

You:
We're looking for a confident, ambitious Graduate (or equivalent) - 1st or Iii - bright, with a good analytical mind … good with a range of people, excellent communication skills, good writings skills - keen and eager to learn and build your career. You need to have the following:

• Degree (or equivalent) - 1st or Iii
• Great research and writing skills, analytical mind - able to pull out key issues from information/research
• Demonstrate the ability to rapidly develop competent knowledge on diverse topics
• Strong written and oral capabilities, and ability to think 'outside the box'
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation
• Self-starter, able to work well as part of a tight-knit team, but also independently
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
