At Travel and Transport Statesman, we’re passionate about business travel. Our success is built on expert personal service. Now we need a confident, imaginative Senior Events Planner to manage bookings and coordinate projects within the Event Operations team.

Come and be part of one of the UK’s biggest success stories in the world of business travel, event management and associated services. Thanks to hiring close-knit teams of experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated people like you, Travel and Transport Statesman has tripled in size in recent years and we’re now poised for further, exciting growth. If you want to think even bigger, we’re also part of Travel and Transport Inc., one of the world’s largest corporate travel agents, which was voted as one of the Best Midsize Employers 2018 by Forbes. There’s no limit to how far you could go.

As Senior Events Planner you’ll advise on and coordinate all aspects of group travel and event management related services - such as airline flight bookings, car/coach transfers, rail, hotel allocations/room blocks, conference facilities, passports/visas, health requirements and ground programme (including restaurants, package tours, cruises, freight, excess baggage, A/V equipment, catering).

You will manage, prepare and submit requests through Cvent, including the monitoring and appointment of suppliers with a focus on objectives, programmed goals and budget. You’ll be expected to process a range of documentation including RFPs, itineraries, booking forms, air, rail and multipurpose documents - ensuring that all details are correct and presented clearly to the client - and to maintain the budget sheet throughout each event project. It will also be part of your role to assist with staff meetings and training, as well as with client relationship management and reviews, and be on-site at events as required by the client.

A versatile, hands-on problem solver with a full range of interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, you will need a solid background as an Events Planner and a good working knowledge of Cvent. Like everyone else here, you’re not just enthusiastic and committed, you’re creative too. You want to do things differently: better.

In return, you can expect to work sensible (or even, potentially, flexible) hours, Monday-Friday, in a convenient Central London location, although there may be times you are required to work weekends or at times, additional hours at peak times. Benefits include generous holiday allowance and fantastic industry discounts, plus enhanced contributory pension plan, reduced corporate gym membership and health cover.

You’re also assured of full training and development opportunities, together with excellent career progression prospects. Travel and Transport Statesman is growing fast but at heart we’re all about lasting relationships and personal reputations. Put in a good performance and it will be recognised – and rewarded.
