Job Details

The Role:

The Senior Account Director will work together in association with the Director of Events to contribute and support the strategy and growth of the Events team over a 3 year plan. Leading a team in delivering world class events, who live and breathe the values of our client in everything you do. A phenomenal brand ambassador.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of event department by allocating work, maintaining client service levels agreements
  • Working with the team to prepare pitch proposals
  • Communicate meeting brief and specifications including delivery timelines
  • Coordinate logistics planning including agenda, F&B, travel and flights, registration, accommodation and AV/technical requirements
  • Establish and manage performance expectations for meetings, suppliers and staff
  • Work within corporate branding guidelines to manage bespoke event themes
  • Continually develop and strengthen relationships with past and existing clients
  • Nurture and grow new business opportunities, adding value with possible

Person Specification

  • Experience in line management of a high performing events team
  • Minimum 5 years events agency experience
  • Familiarity with pitch / proposal preparation process and competing for new business
  • The highest levels of account handling / client relationship expertise
  • Team leadership and strategic skills
  • Creative and innovative approach
  • Ability to understand client objectives and interpret them to develop an integrated event strategy
  • Evidence of increasing revenue within a division
