Commercial Event Director
Working in a fast-paced commercial environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and owning the client's commercial strategy, including sponsorship and partnerships and will manage the sponsorship team to ensure it meets all its financial targets and all aspects of commercial development and sponsorship across the business.
This person would be responsible for up to £3.5million of revenue, mainly sponsorship but also ticket revenue and other streams such as drinks on events etc
Ideally you will have B2B experience and a publishing background. We are looking for someone who is London based and really knows London, knows the publishing world, understands cross platform selling, and the nature of events (last minute, moving feat). Also that the way sponsorship is sold in this market is much more creative, so going to a high end luxury brand, seeing what their budget is and tailoring a package to them. There are some very high-level sponsors already in place, with a whole portfolio of luxury fashion, who have high revenue spend and have very high standards. Therefore, this person needs gravitas and polish, needs to be able to understand these clients, at quite senior level and to be comfortable asking for revenue from them.
