ROLE
This Operational & Exhibitor Services Manager position (reporting to the Head of Shows Operations) will see you managing your own team (4 perm staff and a number of seasonal casual staff) to look after all the exhibitor services and accreditation for a portfolio of very popular UK Shows.

The main remit of the role is to "manage the Operational & Exhibitor Services and Exhibitor Accreditation Team" and to "work with / and provide first class customer service to" a vast range of relevant stakeholders & exhibitors to ensure they have a smooth event / show experience!
You will managing all exhibitor support services covering everything from exhibitor enquiries, exhibitor communication, creating Online Zones for accreditation & exhibitor orders, working on floorplans, showguides, exhibitor packs, pre-event exhibitor advice and managing CRM databases, as well as managing your own team and being on-site throughout the events/shows (managing the on-site exhibitor cabin, accreditation & general exhibitor trouble shooting and managing all the casual/temporary staff). As with all event roles the devil is in the detail and as such the role is 70% event planning, office-based exhibitor communication/customer service and team/staff management based, however the remaining 30% of the role will be "in the thick of and on-site" at some of the UKs most exciting and high-profile public facing consumer shows!

YOU

You'll have circa 6-7 years' experience working on high-profile events & exhibitions and if you've worked on big trade or consumer shows that would certainly be a huge advantage too!
You'll need solid staff / team management skills (direct line management), as well as substantial (and very varied) events experience (large-scale events ideally) encompassing operational event planning, exhibitor/delegate/sponsor management, accreditation systems coordination, floorplans & exhibitor manuals, event registration, customer service, on-site delivery and post event/show reconciliation and reporting.
From a personality and work ethic point of view you'll be a good leader who is great with people, detailed and accurate, strong on systems & databases who also has a positive, flexible and can-do attitude. You'll be keen to keep developing and progressing your own career (whilst also managing others) in a friendly & fun (as well as hardworking and professional) environment.
You must be willing to be on-site for up to 60 days during show season.

This is a fantastic permanent role for an experienced events' professional (Senior Event Manager, Exhibitions Manager, Event Operations Manager) with good exhibitor/stakeholder management, staff & team leadership, event registration/accreditation and customer service skills.
