A leading organiser of B2B exhibitions and conferences and a publisher of market-leading business magazines seeks an experienced event sales professional to launch a series of events and exhibitions globally off the back of their existing brands.

They are looking for a bright, enthusiastic, tenacious and outgoing Business Development Manager who has a passion for all things sales. You must have extensive knowledge of selling conferences and exhibitions including stand sales, sponsorship, virtual propositions as well as conference sponsorship.

Responsible for sales on the launch of a global series of exhibitions in Europe, Asia, USA and Middle East, this project gives any ambitious senior manager the opportunity to lead the sales effort and quickly progress. Utilising the relationships developed over many years in these sectors, there will be immediate editorial and advertising sales support. As the project gains momentum, there will be the opportunity to quickly build a dedicated sales team to support this role.

You'll need excellent verbal and written communication skills and be really organised. This is a great opportunity to secure a role within a very fast paced and growing business that serves business communities across a range of geographies and industries.

Required:

· Minimum 7+ years' event sales experience.

· Experience working on launch events preferable.

· A proven track record in delivering results.

· The ability to multi-task.

· Experience managing others or agents.

· Willingness to travel extensively.

· No fear of the telephone.

Duties:
  • Oversee all sales on launch event(s).
  • Tele-sales / Client visits / LinkedIn introductions / Visiting competitor events.
  • Working closely with the Editors and Advertising sales teams to develop contact lists of target companies.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop compelling and informative Industry content.
  • Providing clear and concise sales plans and sales activity reports.
  • Engage with social media to build business network and contacts.
