CONFERENCE PRODUCER

The Company:
Our client is a dynamic and growing B2B events company, with a busy production team in their Asia office, and now looking to bring a talented and ambitious Conference Producer into their UK office to work at the heart of their UK based events and marketing team. They deliver strategic informational b2b programmes through training courses, conferences and seminars aimed at tightly targeted audiences within the pharma sector, to address the needs of today’s leading executives across Europe, Middle East and Asia. Their emphasis is on high level quality content, so you’ll be working on quality as opposed to quantity in terms of your events. You’ll be supported by the Head of Production, and will be given the opportunity to take the lead on the growth of the UK team as your role develops.

Role:
As Conference Producer, your key role will be to gather commercial research and market intelligence to create a value driven agenda for C-level executives. Once written and validated by the industry, you’ll research and invite speakers – key industry figures and market experts to present content and case studies your events. You’ll also have management potential or ability, as we are looking for someone one who has the potential, either now or in due course, to build and lead their own team.  All in all a brilliant role – with fantastic potential. (nb you may be a junior or more experienced Producer – and will be given the relevant support accordingly).  Most importantly you have excellent Production experience, are super talented and would relish being be part of a smaller but growing company, with the potential to take a lead role as the team grows further.

You:
We’re looking for a confident, ambitious and commercially-minded Conference Producer. You need to be the sort of person who enjoys building your own relationships (either remotely or face to face) as well as the nitty gritty of content research and production. You will of course need to have proven experience as a Conference Producer (open to sector but ideally within life sciences, pharma or medical) or with the proven adaptablility to transition quickly to a new sector. The ideal candidate should be looking for a growth role ideally – you’ll have a very proactive work ethic and driven approach to both telephone and face to face research. You’ll also be a natural relationship builder and feel comfortable engaging with senior figures who shape and lead the pharmaceutical industry. The candidate will need to be willing to learn and develop within the pharmaceutical sector, driving the expansion of event portfolios, and, in due course, expanding the team.
