A successful company has an immediate requirement for an experienced and creative Video Editor. This role offers applicants the opportunity to join this forward-thinking and growing business at a very exciting time.
As a Video Editor you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing video for our clients and occasionally for internal purposes.
Duties and responsibilities
- Capture studio-quality video on location.
- Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications.
- Create/review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film, Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Work both on and off-site.
- Plan the shoot with the account management team and the client.
- Regularly collaborate with digital marketing team.
- Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing.
- Direct other camera operators so that the needed footage is acquired.
- Follow the client’s brand guidelines.
- Edit footage in post-production.
- Develop an overall video brand messaging strategy for each client.
- Work with the account managers and sales team to help in the preparation of video proposals.
- Keep all equipment in good working order.
Requirements and qualifications
- Three years of experience as video specialist and Editor of a similar role.
- High level of experience of using video and editing equipment.
- Demonstrable video editing ability.
- Creative mind and storytelling skills.
- Good time-management skills.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Final Cut, Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
- Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics is preferred.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently or on a team.
- Animation design skills would be a plus.
- Own transport essential
