Brilliant opportunity for a talented Event professional who’d enjoy co-ordinating a programme of really varied events for an audience from the UKs leading corporates, retail and service organisations.

Organisation and Context:
You’d be working for a fantastic professional body which champions the attainment of excellent customer service delivery within UK businesses. They deliver a busy programme of varied events – (currently moved to virtual, with plans to move back to face-to-face later in the year). Events include their flagship Annual Conference and Awards (300-400 pax), AGM, Research Launches, thought leadership interviews, and includes a national week of varied activities to highlight key issues around their core focus. You’ll be working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager - your role will split across event delivery (c. 70%) and marketing (c. 30%,), and will see you working closely with varied suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders.

Role:
As Events & Marketing Executive  you’ll take on the main event management responsibility in the team, and also related marketing and communications activities – so a really great, meaty and rounded role! Supported by the Marketing & Communications Manager, this role offers you the opportunity to:

  • Take lead in co-ordinating the delivery of programme of varied events (including conference,awards dinner,AGM,Thought Leadership seminars, Training etc)
  • Co-ordinate varied internal teams and external event suppliers and agencies
  • Manage budgets, timelines, ROI and reporting
  • Marketing activities - manage events section of website, create, audit and maintain marketing, communications and event content to promote awareness of and maximise attendance at events, create and maintain target list of customers to ensure events are appropriately targeted and maximise member engagement

You:
This is a busy and full role giving lots of responsibility and opportunity. So you’ll need to be a confident and very competent experienced Event Executive – with a proven track record of delivering a wide range of events,  from conferences, to awards dinners, seminars etc.  You’ll need to have delivered Virtual events, and have an excellent background in face-to-face events. Commercial acumen is important, excellent stakeholder management, ability to manage supplier partners, as well as co-ordinate internal teams. As regards marketing, ideally you’ll have good digital marketing knowledge, although elements of this will be supported/taught by your Manager.  Key experience required includes:

  • Experience of end to end delivery of varied format of events: conferences, awards, seminars (from either a commercial, corporate, agency or association background)
  • Supplier management skills, including venue, and ideally experience of managing event agency suppliers and marketing collateral suppliers
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware, numerate
  • Experience of digital marketing and communication, including campaign management, email, website and social media, and lead generation (highly desirable)
  • Ability to produce concise and impactful digital copy and promotional material
  • Positive, can-do attitude, team player, excellent co-ordination and planning skills, attention to deal
