Excellent in-house role for an experienced corporate Event Manager delivering a range of  C level client events, from business breakfasts to sophisticated gala dinners at prestigious venues for this fast-paced professional services leader in its field. (asap start mat cover)

Our client provides specialized professional services to leading corporates, a global company, no. 1 in the UK. Their continued success comes from developing long term relationships with their clients – to support this they have a varied client events programme, attended by board level and senior directors of leading corporates. Mainly London events, high-level hospitality and thought leadership - all top business level and brilliantly delivered to the highest of standards. From intimate breakfast meetings, to prestigious gala dinners (c. 350 pax) held at livery halls, receptions with prestigious speakers keynote speakers from within the business, political and sporting world – and everything in between. These events form a key part of their business and marketing strategy, so working with senior internal stakeholders and understanding their b2b objectives is a key part of the role. 

Sitting at the heart of the marketing team, you’ll be responsible for the faultless delivery of a varied programme of top level b2b client events – at prestigious venues, as well as in the event spaces at their beautiful offices and using their inhouse catering team. You’ll have responsiblity for end to end event planning and co-ordination, from taking the brief from the senior internal stakeholders, to developing and presenting the event proposal, all elements of event planning, sourcing and managing suppliers including venues, managing guest lists and guest communications, to leading the on-site delivery. This is initially a maternity cover ‘til May 2022, but as the events team is re-growing, significant potential to extend to perm).

You’ll be an experienced, confident corporate events professional, with experience working on C level b2b relationship building events - ideally from within the corporate/professional services environment – with an emphasis on top level hospitality and execution. Well presented team player with excellent communication skills, exceptional eye for design and detail, who enjoys working in a fast paced corporate – able to keep an eye on all elements of an event. You’ll enjoy working within a marketing team, and have a proven track record of liaising with business stakeholders and delivering varied, beautifully executed client events at both business and unique venues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaise directly with Senor level internal corporate stakeholders
  • Full event management, timeline management, supplier liaison and management, guest management, across all elements of event – including gala dinners and receptions
  • Regular team reporting and updates
  • Lead on the day delivery
  • Budget management and post event reporting

Key essentials in the successful candidate:

  • Well presented, with excellent communication skills, and able to build relationships and credibility with a variety of professionals and internal stakeholders
  • Proven experience of end to end event management and delivery of varied hi-end b2b events for business professionals – including dinners, both small and gala, presentations, receptions, intimate client hospitality focused events
  • Confident, experienced, excellent time management skills, attention to detail
