We are seeking an Events Project Manager to join the Events team and lead on the delivery of numerous events and activities within the Education Programmes department.

The role

As Events Project Manager, you will provide end-to-end event management services across a number of active programmes in the Education team. This includes the delivery of up to ten regional events between March and April 2022, and a national celebration event held at the Academy headquarters in June 2022, as part of a 10-year anniversary celebration of our Connecting STEM Teachers.

Who are we looking for?

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised events professional to work on various types of events, working closely with the Education team on the production of their events along with assisting the Academy’s Events team with delivery of the overall events and Academy strategy.

This role will involve end-to-end management of specifically allocated events. These events will mostly take place in a face-to-face format, but experience in conducting events with commonly used platforms including Zoom and Microsoft teams is essential. The crucial part of the role is to lead on the work that involves execution of overall project plan with critical milestones and key deliverables. The role requires you to be able to work logistically on complex and multiple events simultaneously, with ability to multitask and maintain high standards. you should be enthusiastic about taking on responsibility and driving the planning and execution of event forward. Ideally, you should be a team player with strong IT and communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to thrive when working under pressure.

This role entails flexibility in out of hours working in order to support certain events. This is a fixed term contract until July 2022.

Location

Our light, spacious offices are based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline two days a week in the office.
