THE COMPANY

A dominant player in the resources sector, this media group have been successfully producing publications for 20 years with a recent heightened awareness on environmental awareness and the impact of our resources on the planet. Over the past 5 years they have been developing the events management side of the business and have successfully delivered a new series in North America and Australia and are continuing into Asia and Europe. The events facilitate high level C-Suite delegates and deliver unrivalled agendas developed by the editorial team.

THE ROLE

This company are now looking for a Head of Events to lead the events division and grow the current portfolio. Collaborating with internal editorial teams to produce best in class events, you will be responsible for ensuring the portfolio is creative and engaging. In addition you will be responsible for maximising commercial opportunities to meet commercial goals and targets.

As Head of Events you will be responsible for;

Managing the events operation team
Effective management and overall accountability for the event budgets
Researching, negotiating and appointing all event suppliers
Ensuring effective speaker management
Identifying and proposing event-specific growth opportunities
Cost and budget management
Conduct extensive research into target sponsors and speakers
Overseeing sponsorship and delegate sales teams
Producing event strategy plans
Overseeing new event launches across the portfolio

THE CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role, you will have previous senior event management experience within an association or conference organiser as well as excellent commercial acumen and line management capabilities.
