Salary: £32,000-£41,000 pro rata (approx £19,200 - £24,600 0.6FTE) 

 

Location: Hybrid (at least one day in our London or Leicester office, two days either home-based or in the office). The successful candidate will be expected to undertake some evening work and travel.  

 

Contract: Fixed term (5 months, starting end June). 0.6FTE/3 days per week. 

 

Learning and Work Institute is an independent research, development and policy organisation dedicated to promoting lifelong learning, full employment and inclusion.  

 

We’re looking for an Events Manager to join our Policy and Communications team to plan, market and deliver our most important and exciting events, including L&W’s Festival of Learning, Employment and Skills Convention 2022 and Lifelong Learning Week activities. 

 

The successful candidate will liaise with internal and external contacts to agree on key event deliverables and plan these in a cost-effective, timely and compliant manner. They will also be confident in marketing events through various channels and delivering a high standard of customer care to stakeholders. The role will require in-person attendance at events and to build and maintain great working relationships with speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.  

 

This role will suit someone with a background in events management with a developed range of skills, including communication, sales, planning and attention to detail.
