THE COMPANY

This established group and their venues are the go to for a variety of large scale events including conferences, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, sporting events, exhibitions and much more for a huge range of exciting clients. With over 750 events per year you will have the opportunity to bring on board new exciting clients and events to the venue.

THE ROLE

An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Manager to join the conventions and exhibitions team. Dealing with new business enquiries, building lasting relationships with potential clients, networking and targeting prospective clients will all fall within your remit. Targeting and working with a huge range of prospective clients from endless sectors, this is an exciting opportunity to further build the events calendar for the venue.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and responding to incoming enquiries
Qualifying new briefs from potential clients
Discussing services and package options with clients
Networking at industry events
Building lasting relationships with prospects and clients
Negotiating and liaising with internal stakeholders
Presenting to potential clients

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and will be confident, proactive and diplomatic in their sales approach. Experience in exhibition sales would be beneficial however candidates with experience in event sales including venue sales, sponsorship or stand sales will also be considered.
